Las Ramblas

:: Hi everyone,

I realized when I saw this on my e-mail recently that I never turned in your evaluation form and I just wanted to tell you how pleased we were with our accomodations with you recently. My students and I stayed in Las Ramblas and Santa Ana 2 from June 5-8. Both were well located, clean, attractively furnished and reasonably priced. I really appreciate your help and would certainly rent them again if traveling in Barcelona. Las Ramblas, especially was a lot of fun due to the great balcony overlooking the market and the subway stop there was so convenient. I apologize for not providing feedback earlier, but we had a hell of a time getting out of Barcelona due to the French train strike, then it caused huge problems throughout the rest of our trip. I will never travel with students in France again; we spent the night in stations, paid a ton of extra money for buses, and waited on the hot platform for five hours one day for the only train that was to leave - then the train workers lined up across the tracks and wouldn't let it go. What a nightmare! Our stay in Spain was the nicest, most relaxing part of the trip. ( I also really appreciated the student discounts offered to all students at Spanish museums. They were so accomodating and helpful at the Sagrada Familia; quite a contrast to France and Italy where non-European students pay full price and are treated rather rudely.) Thank you for all your help with our stay in Barcelona.

We do remember you! We were in La Rambla 89 from 3. to 10. april and want to thank you so much for the service. We had a good time in Barcelona and the apartment was wonderful. The kitchen was so praktical and nice, the bathroom was very fine. The beds were very good to sleep in. All over: Very good! (I have so many words for it in Norwegian, but I’m not so good in English) So it could have been said much more, but it all means the same, it was just fine. I also want to say that You met the youths in a fine way and that it was easy to reach you at the phone. Such thing are very important when we travel with pupils.

We really enjoyed our trip to Barcelona. We did not manage to get around to a fraction of the sights. The location of your apartment was fantastic. It was great to be in the hub of the centre and so close to everything. Thank you for the lists of restaurents. We would definatly recommend El Salon. We had a wonderful meal there. We loved the little bars that we found close to the apartment on our way home at night. I have told loads of people about the apartment so i hope that you will get loads of bookings. May I suggest on a practical note that you put a mirror up in your living room as we were three girls and were always waiting for someone to come out of the bathroom to use the mirror. Otherwise we found the apartment very spacious and the beds very comfortable. We will be back.

:: Had a great time thanks. The location is fantastic and the flat is very comfortable. Just one observations for your reference. - The "anti slip" mat in the bath is quite dangerous! More slippery that the bath surface! I'd throw it out if I were you! Other that that everything was fine. I'll be telling my friends to check out your website if they are coming over! :: I had a nice stay at the apartment it was 100 meters from Las Ramlas, just around the corner you have the possibility to park your car.The apartment It self had enough space for 5 persons. In the kitchen you can make a good meal all the utilities are available. Bathroom is big, there is a shower and bath for the romantically evenings.The owners that rented us the apartment gave us a great service en information for where to and not to go.I have now wonderful memory’s of Barcelona.

Also the customer service received from yourself and your partner was second to none -even when we had a problem you looked into it asap and did all you can - which we appreciated. You treated us fairly and with respect that is why we did not mind and it did not leave a bad impression. :: I am writing to express my thanks to you for a wonderful stay in Barcelona, mostly due to the apartment you provided. It was clean, convenient (in more ways than one), was well furnished, had a clean bathroom and due to all the kitchenware and utensils even us guys managed to cook some good meals. (I'll send you pics to prove this*).Also thanks to your advice and the lovely Graciela we managed to see most of the sights around the city centre, i.e. the port, the GREAT La Rambla, Born, the Gaudi buildings and night-clubs. All this without the use of our rent-a-car, which was parked up majority of the timeI know that I'll be visiting Barcelona in the near future (Canaletas fountain), only this time I won't have the headache of spending numerous hours looking for a decent accommodation. Just want to give you some feedback on the Roof Top Dream apartment we stayed on Nov 13-15.

Firstly, the location could not have been more perfect. Everything is within five minutes walk including shops, patisseries, supermarket, museums. The only drawback is the narrow stair case and the lack of elevator. Luckily our luggage were small and we were not too out of shape!

The best thing about this apartment is how quiet it is. My husband could not stand even the tiniest noise such as aircon, cars, street noises and you name it. In this apartment we slept like a log!!! The double grazing windows
worked like magic.

We will take this apartment again if we go back.

Thank You very much, the visit in Barcelona was very good and the apartment at Bonavista Studios was exellent! We all were very pleased and I shall recommend Your place for every one who is planning to stay in Barcelona. The best thing for us was that we could see not only tourists but the ordinary people also in shops buying their every day food as we did too! My doughter Veera asked me if I had saved the adress as she would like to visit Barcelona soon again, and she would like to stay at Bonavista Studios with her friends. The whole trip was most succesfull, it was a good break to our autumn, there was about 10 cm snow here in Helsinki as we came home, now it is warmer and there is no snow, just rainig water.

I'd just like to say thank you for making our stay in Barcelona so amazing. Particularly Sara who answered my many emails that I sent before we travelled to Barcelona (always very speedily) and Thomas who checked us into our apartment and gave us a very warm welcome. I've never stayed in an apartment before, having always chosen to book into hotels, however I'll definately chose apartments when I travel in the future. The Boqueria 2 apartment was clean, pleasantly furnished, well equipped and there was plenty of space for five adults. In addition, I don't think the apartment could have been in a better location. It was right on top of La Ramblas and within easy walking distance of almost everywhere we went. It was amazing staying right next door to the Boqueria market and it was great being able to go out of an evening and being such a short walk from all the restaurants and bars.

The Visit Barcelona team could not have been faulted, you have been very professional and your customer service has been excellant. We thought Barcelona was wonderful and can't wait to return and when we do we will certainly stay in one of your apartments.

Just a short note to thank you for the use of the apartment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Barcelona. We found the apartment very comfortable and the Spanish or should I say Catalan people very friendly and .....patient..our Spanish/Catalan wasn't very good! Your prepared notes were very helpful...they assisted with the usual 'tourist' problems such as travel and food. We used both the Bonpreu supermarket and Maur restaurant regularly...and found them both to be very resonable and easily accessible. As you might imagine, we walked to most places, using the taxis from time to time. The highlights were our trip to the Port Aventura Theme Park, the light/fountain display at Plaza d'Espanya, a visit to La Rambla, the city bus tour and ...last but not least the cable car up to Montjuic.

Many thanks for the £150 'deposit' cheque...I received it a couple of days ago.

:: We stayed at the Tallers 1 apartment at the end of February 2005. The apartment is in the centre of the city and easily reached from BCN airport using the "Renfe" train to Placa de Catalunya (only 2.40 euros for this 20 minute trip). It takes 10 minutes to walk from the station, to the famous "La Rambla", Tallers is the first turning on the right. The owner, Carlos asked us to ring him when we reached Barcelona airport and he would meet us there, he was true to his word as he greeted our arrival from the first floor balcony. Carlos was very friendly and helpful, after a quick tour I paid our balance, shook his hand and he was on his way. The apartment is fairly basic but clean and served it's purpose. It is largely kitted out from Ikea (even down to the crockery etc) and is reasonably comfortable for a short stay.

The weather was surprisingly cold, but Carlos had provided us with 2 electric radiators that were adequate to keep the apartment warm. The cooking facilities are fine so long as you're not planning to cook anything too adventurous, 2 cooking rings, microwave, toaster and electric whisk. A bit short on utensils however but we managed to make a cooked breakfast. Saturday night was a little noisy as Spanish revellers turned out of clubs and bars in the early hours and used Tallers as a short cut home, but the following 2 nights were much quieter as I assume the locals would be returning to work. The apartment is perfectly placed in the heart of Barcelona, and is a great base for exploring the city. We will definitely use it again if we return.
